This body of work covers two related ways of making real spaces explorable online: connected 360-degree tours and reconstructed 3D scenes. It includes Best Quarters tour delivery, the earlier Innov8 Hub tour and experiments with 3D Gaussian Splatting.
Capture & delivery
I produced Best Quarters virtual tours across capture, authoring and web delivery. Earlier work included Innov8 Hub's published interactive tour. I also reconstructed indoor spaces with 3D Gaussian Splatting, comparing image-, Quest- and Insta360-based capture workflows for effort, visual fidelity and usability.
Development approach
For the tours, I handled the path from capture to a navigable web experience. Planning the route, arranging viewpoints and authoring connections between locations are part of making a walkthrough that a visitor can understand. The final experience lets someone explore a place at their own pace.
The reconstruction studies investigate a different kind of spatial viewing. I compared image-, Quest- and Insta360-based approaches, looking at the effort of capture, the visual result and the usability of the reconstructed scene. Those comparisons inform which workflow is appropriate for a particular space and purpose.
Outcome
The work produced published interactive tours and sample reconstructions for spatial documentation and visualisation. It connects practical web delivery with continuing investigation into richer representations of real environments.
